However you will most likely to find many options in cities and areas which are 30 minutes or 1 hour drive from those cities.
In Surrey, Coquitlam, Maple Ridge, and so on, you will have lots of options when shopping for single family homes under 1 million dollars. And they are usually less in age and bigger in size comparing those in popular cities.
